Zyrrith: The Promised Wrath
For my master's Final Major Project at the University of the Arts London, I worked on a character concept design project where the written narrative was intentionally layered and could only be fully understood by audiences familiar with a wider fictional universe. Because the story was not equally accessible to all viewers, the visual work needed to carry the emotional weight of the project on its own.
To ensure the work connected with all of the audience, I focused on creating impact through colour, lighting, composition, and perspective rather than relying on narrative detail. These visual choices were used to build tension and a dramatic, horror-influenced atmosphere that could be felt immediately, regardless of the viewer’s prior knowledge.
